Pathway to Prevention commissioned the creation of Collision Course – Teen Addiction Epidemic to educate teens and parents about the prevalence and risks of adolescent substance use and abuse. The documentary tells honest and compelling stories, which can encourage parents and teens to talk about the very real risks of casual drug or alcohol use and make informed choices and wise decisions.

In this documentary, we meet:

  • Young people who share their life stories and reveal how they became increasingly trapped by their substance abuse.
  • Parents who were blindsided to discover that their children had become chemically dependent on drugs or alcohol or cough medicine.
  • A mother who watched her daughter spiral into deadly addiction after taking pills that her doctor prescribed when she broke her neck in a car accident.
  • Teens who choose to stay sober despite strong peer pressure to drink and use.

The documentary is rated TV-14 and includes honest, accurate and potentially disturbing material. Viewer discretion advised.
